Arielle Strem is a global consumer executive with more than nearly three decades of experience driving growth and transformation across retail, digital commerce, and consumer goods. She brings a pragmatic approach grounded in operational rigor, financial performance oversight, and global enterprise leadership. Arielle spent the majority of her career in senior roles at some of the most recognizable brands, notably Nike, where her global perspective was shaped through living and working across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Earlier in her career, Arielle established her consulting foundation at McKinsey & Company and EY, developing deep financial acumen and expertise in performance improvement and large-scale change.

Most recently, Arielle served as Vice President and General Manager of Nike’s $3B North America Women’s Lifestyle business. She led integrated, cross-functional teams across product, merchandising, marketing, and operations, delivering 10% growth. Her leadership focused on unlocking sustainable revenue through consumer-right assortments, diversifying key products, and onboarding new partners to expand wholesale distribution.

Previously, as Vice President of Global Strategy, Arielle was a strategic partner to the CEO and C-Suite in merger and acquisition targets, enterprise planning, budget governance, and the company’s Consumer Direct Acceleration initiative, a multi-year organizational transformation spanning digital, merchandising, and operations. During this time, Nike’s annual revenue grew from approximately $37.4 billion in FY2020 to $51.2 billion in FY2023, representing an overall increase of nearly 40%. In this role, her work directly informed board-level decision-making, enterprise-wide priorities, and clear financial metrics to deliver on board and shareholder expectations.

Arielle’s career at Nike was shaped by a series of progressively broader leadership roles, including senior business and financial positions on the ground across Europe. Through these assignments, she oversaw direct-to-consumer and wholesale businesses, led teams of more than 400 across digital commerce operations, and consistently delivered top- and bottom-line performance. She scaled NIKEiD Europe into a $100M+ business, expanded the digital pure-player ecosystem, and grew key retail partnerships, building deep expertise across merchandising, operations, and complex revenue management.

Earlier in her career, Arielle’s global journey began at EY in Beijing during a period of unprecedented economic transformation in China. Working in-market at a pivotal moment for foreign investment helped shape her long-standing perspective on international business, macroeconomic forces, and how large organizations adapt and scale across regions.

Today, Arielle advises global, household-name brands on turnarounds, revenue growth, and profit optimization. Her work focuses on addressing operational challenges, implementing cost reduction strategies, resetting revenue models, and guiding organizations through commercial expansion. She brings this same practical, results-oriented approach to her work with individual executives and corporate non-executive boards, providing coaching that mirrors how she advises the businesses she supports.

In addition to her corporate and advisory work, Arielle brings governance experience through nonprofit leadership roles with the John Adams Institute, the International School of Amsterdam, and previously the Oregon Episcopal School Finance Committee. She is also a member of the American Women’s Club of Amsterdam and has a consistent track record of applying her financial and strategic expertise in service of the communities where she lives.

Outside of her professional career, Arielle is a certified international birth doula, reflecting a deep personal commitment to women’s health and cross-cultural approaches to birth and family care. This work has strengthened her ability to problem-solve in real time and navigate complex, high-stakes situations, an approach that also shapes her purpose-driven leadership style and focus on organizational well-being.

Across all of her roles, Arielle is known for integrating strategic clarity with operational rigor, unifying merchandising, product, marketing, and digital teams to unlock sustainable growth. Her experience leading complex businesses, navigating marketplace shifts, and delivering large-scale transformation enables her to bring a pragmatic, globally informed perspective to executive leadership teams and boards.
